Educational Information
The following links are a collection of useful resources about live entertainment (theatre, music, public speech, etc.) and video tech. By tech, I do not mean mearly technology, thouhg that is a large factor, but also the technique, the craft of the business. These links contain everything from basic electricity to building flats and calibrating monitors. These links do not, however, provide all the information one needs to work in these fields. It is a good idea, if possible, to find a mentor, take a class, get an internship, or take an aprenticeship. This industry is based largely on three pillars: Creativity, Quality, and Speed. There is never enough time to do what needs to be done. Honestly, few can succeed in this industry (entertainment in general), and those who do deserve their inflated paychecks. If you think you've got what it takes, study up, and hold on for the ride.
